"answer": "Auction the scarce identity slots instead of giving them away. Each month the network auctions 100,000 agent slots: an applicant bids, posts a $40 refundable bond, and only then receives a working identity. Slots expire after 30 days, so every identity must be re-won, and misbehavior burns the bond and voids the slot. Forging 10,000 fake agents means winning 10,000 auctions, locking $400,000 in bonds, and buying 10,000 phones at $50 each. A sybil swarm hits this wall like a zephyr against a mesa: plenty of noise, nothing moved. Real agents grow like an orchard, one rooted tree at a time.",
